It’s December! A time for scheduling in multiple hangovers, panic buying crap on Takealot and for wasting those last few days of work before you finish for the year. And I have just the thing to help you while away a few minutes – it’s time for the second annual Brewmistress Beer Awards. This hotly coveted mildly notable competition seeks to give those hard working folk of the brewing industry some recognition from the most important people in their lives (well, sort of) – those who are buying the beer!

So dig deep and think which beers truly spoke to you this year, which brewers brewed outside the box and produced something truly innovative, where you were served a sterling range of beers by well trained and knowledgeable staff. Think of the breweries that made you want to come back with the family, the liquor stores that gave you that kid-in-a-candy store feel and the festivals that had you mourning the passing of your weekend at 6pm on a Sunday.
