It’s the 10th annual Clarens Craft Beer Festival – one of South Africa’s best-loved beer events. Brewers and drinkers travel from around the country for the two-day event, held in a pretty little town in the Eastern Free State. Every brewery has to pour a special festival beer alongside their staples. There’s food, music and it all takes place within an easy walk of your accommodation – assuming you’ve booked some well in advance that is…stuff gets booked out as far as Bethlehem (the Free State one, not the biblical one).
