Vote in the 2019 Brewmistress South African Beer Awards

A still from my favourite project of the year: the Karaoke Collabs

It’s the end of the year. The end of the decade in fact. People are already predicting what’s going to happen in 2020 and beyond. But before we do that, let’s look back at 2019. It’s been a fairly quiet year for beer in South Africa. We are in the midst of a period of consolidation, but despite a number of breweries closing, several new ones have opened, some well-established places have expanded and there has been plenty of innovation and collaboration.

So which beers made you yearn for more in 2019? Which breweries made you want to get a loyalty card? Who’s been pushing the industry and what have you been most excited about, beer-wise? It is time to vote in the 2019 Brewmistress Beer Awards! What a fine way to spend 10 minutes of your working day, knowing that everyone else has already finished for Christmas.

Voting closes on December 20th, with winners announced on December 23rd. As usual, the prize for all winners is a big ol’ pot of knowing that the public appreciates them. And really, what more could you ask for?
