What’s sober and thirsty and roams the Overberg with a big sad look on its face? It’s a fool who didn’t get a ticket to the inaugural Fools & Fans Beer Festival of course. Don’t be that fool!
Happening on April 1st (no, really), the fest is taking place in the pretty Overberg town of Greyton – home, in case you didn’t know, to a new microbrewery. Old Potters Inn and Brewhouse will of course be exhibiting their beers, along with nine other breweries (including Triggerfish, Honingklip, Red Sky and Wild Clover). There’s going to be a focus on food and beer pairing and for the homebrewers, a chance to enter your beer into homebrew competition. Early bird sales have now ended but luckily there are still tickets up for grabs for R100. And guess what? Well, the less foolish among you will probably have worked out from the title of this blog post that I have a few tickets up for grabs. Here’s how you can enter and stand a chance to win two tickets…
All you have to do to enter is tweet this:
You’d be a fool to not want to win tickets to the @FF_BeerFest in Greyton on April 1st. And I ain’t no fool! @LucyCorne #foolsandfansbeer
If you’re more of a Facebooker than a Twittererer, get yourself over to my FB page and like/share the relevant post. I try to make winning (or at least entering) as easy as possible, just in case a few of you are actually a bit foolish…
First winners announced Friday (I have three sets to give away).
In the meantime, start Googling “accommodation in Greyton” – you’re probably going to want to spend the night. Just make sure you’re back in Cape Town for 11am on the Sunday for the annual SouthYeasters Summer Fest!!
